Amish Resource Center

Bridging the Plain and the Practical

Serving Amish and Plain Communities Modern help that honors your Ordnung

We handle the computer work so you do not have to, always within the limits of your church ordinances, with respect and care.

Many Amish and other Plain families need help with things that now require the internet: account verification, online orders, selling equipment, research, and travel. We stand in the middle, quietly doing the work on your behalf.

How it works Talk to us Phone, fax, or mail. No account is required.
Typical Week At The Amish Resource Center

What we quietly take care of

A neighbor, driver, or store owner calls us. We confirm what is needed, then we do the computer work and send a clear summary back by fax, phone, or mail.

  • Clicking verification links from email to approve an order or account.
  • Placing orders on Amazon or other sites for families, stores, or markets.
  • Listing equipment, tools, and sheds for sale so buyers can find them.
  • Researching parts, products, and trip details so you can choose wisely.
  • Finding, planning, and booking travel at the lowest fair price we can.

You stay in control. We simply act as your hands on the keyboard and give you a plain summary of what was done.

Who we are

Our work and our heart

Amish Resource Center exists to connect Amish and other Plain communities with the modern services that are hard to reach without the internet. We do this with humility, clarity, and a deep respect for your faith and customs.

We work quietly in the background so that you can keep your focus on family, church, and work. You tell us what you are allowed to do and what you are not allowed to do, and we stay inside those boundaries.

  • Who we serve: Amish, Old Order, conservative Mennonite, and other Plain communities.
  • How we serve: Through phone, fax, mail, and trusted neighbors who help communicate your needs.
  • What we promise: No pressure, no hidden fees, and no pushing you toward things that go against your Ordnung.
We are not here to change your way of life.
We are here to be a careful bridge where the modern world has made certain things hard to do without screens, codes, and passwords. Our task is to carry that burden for you, then hand you back clear paper records of what was done.
What we do

Services for Plain families and businesses

Every community is different. Some allow more technology, some less. We adjust our work to fit your local church rules and your comfort level.

Email help

Email and verification services

Many email to fax systems cannot click links. We step in where a click is required.

  • Clicking verification links for online accounts and orders.
  • Completing two factor authentication steps when codes are sent.
  • Downloading photos and documents from email for proper printing.
  • Optional scheduled monitoring of inboxes for important messages.
Purchasing

Purchases made on your behalf

You decide what to buy and from where. We do the online order and provide clear records.

  • Orders from Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and other online vendors.
  • Use your own card when possible so costs stay simple.
  • When our card is used, we invoice you, including a small fee to cover card costs.
  • Each invoice includes a breakdown of any discounts or savings we found.
Selling

Helping you sell items

You keep your tools and equipment on your property. We help buyers find you.

  • We create listings for equipment, tools, livestock, and other goods.
  • Details are collected on a simple paper or fax form and kept in your job folder.
  • Buyers contact you directly about payment and pickup or delivery.
  • No shipping is handled by us. You and the buyer work that out together.
Research

Research services

We find information and options, then you decide what to do.

  • Product research for stores and markets that want new lines to sell.
  • Finding parts, accessories, and manuals for equipment and tools.
  • Looking up books, authors, and even song lyrics by title or line.
  • Trip research so your family or group can travel wisely and within budget.
Travel

Travel planning and booking

We help with the complicated part so your trip can stay simple and peaceful.

  • Gathering options for tickets, lodging, and drivers or rental vehicles.
  • Looking for the most practical and cost effective arrangements we can find.
  • Booking that respects how you prefer to travel and what is allowed.
  • Clear printouts with dates, times, confirmation numbers, and contact details.
Printing

Printed records and summaries

We turn computer screens into paper so you always have something you can hold.

  • Order confirmations printed and mailed or faxed to your home or store.
  • Purchase and sale summaries for your bookkeeping records.
  • Printed research summaries with the best options and pricing details.
  • High quality photo and document printing from emailed files.
Simple process

How it works from start to finish

Every service follows the same careful pattern. Nothing is done without your approval and you always receive a plain summary of what was completed.

Step 1

You contact us

You or a trusted neighbor reaches out by phone, fax, or mail and tells us exactly what you need done and what your church allows.

Step 2

We confirm details

We ask any needed questions, give a simple fee estimate, and agree on how you want to be updated and how you want to pay.

Step 3

We do the computer work

We log in, research, place orders, or create listings on your behalf, always inside the limits you have set.

Step 4

You receive a clear summary

We send a fax or printed record that lists what was done, what it cost, any savings, and what to expect next.

Fees and savings

Simple fees with plain explanations

We charge for our time and for the use of our accounts when needed. No surprise charges. We would rather keep your trust than add complicated fees.

Purchases

  • Small online orders often use a flat service fee for the work.
  • Larger orders use a simple percentage based fee instead.
  • If we use our card for you, we add a small card recovery fee.
  • Each purchase includes a written summary of what you saved through sales or discounts that we applied.

Sales

  • Lower priced items use a plain flat fee to create and manage your listing.
  • Higher value items use a small percentage of the final sale price.
  • You keep control of the item and you work out delivery or pickup with the buyer.
  • We only earn our fee when the item is sold.

Research & email help

  • Most tasks include the first short block of time in the base fee.
  • If a job takes longer, we bill in small time blocks so you only pay for what is truly needed.
  • Email link clicking and basic verification steps usually use a small flat fee.
  • Before we begin a larger job, we tell you how we expect the charges to work.

Exact fees can vary by project size and complexity. Before we move ahead on any work, we will walk you through the costs in simple, plain language so there are no surprises.

Common questions

Questions families often ask

Do you work under our church rules

Yes. You tell us what your bishop and ministers allow. We note that in your file and we will not step outside those boundaries. If we are ever unsure, we stop and ask before moving ahead.

Do we have to use computers ourselves

No. Many of our clients do not own a computer or smartphone. A driver, neighbor, bookkeeper, or business partner often reaches out on their behalf, but we always keep our explanations in plain terms that you can understand on paper.

Can you work directly from email to fax

Yes. We can receive messages and forms, do the required computer work, then fax back clear confirmations that you can file in your records. When links are involved, we click them on your behalf.

What if we only want a one time job

That is fine. Some families use us once a year, others every week. There are no long term contracts. You call when you need help and we bill only for the work we actually do.
